Cambrian Public School, Kanke Road, Ranchi, celebrated Makar Sankranti/Lohri with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event witnessed active participation from students, who showcased their talents through various activities such as dance, drama, song, and kite flying.
The four houses—Ganga, Yamuna, Sutlej, and Godawari—presented different aspects of the harvest festival, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of India. Ganga house depicted Lohri, Yamuna house showcased Maharashtra Sakaranti, Sutlej house presented Pongal, and Godawari house celebrated Makar Sankranti.
Students of classes VII-VIII enthusiastically participated in kite-making activities, adding to the festive atmosphere. A special assembly was conducted, featuring the song ‘Bappa Udave Patang Re’ and Tussu Dance performed by students of classes VIII-XI.
Director cum Principal, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, addressed the students, sharing valuable insights and emphasizing the significance of preserving cultural traditions. Her talk inspired the students to appreciate and respect the rich cultural diversity of India.
The celebration was a resounding success, with students and faculty members coming together to make it a memorable event.
