The Mumbai Police, which is investigating the case of sending threatening messages to Salman Khan, has arrested a person from Jamshedpur. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. The accused has been identified as Jamshedpur vegetable seller Sheikh Hussain Sheikh Mausin (24). Last week, a threatening message demanding extortion of Rs 5 crore from the actor was received on the WhatsApp helpline of Mumbai Traffic Police, after which the police registered a case and started investigation.

An apology message was also received

A police official said that the police traced that number in Jharkhand and teams were sent to arrest the accused. He said that another team was also sent to Guwahati. Officials said on Tuesday that the police started their investigation to trace the sender of the message, but the Mumbai Traffic Police has received an apology message from the same mobile phone number.

According to Mumbai Police, after Mumbai Traffic Police received the threatening message, it registered a case against the unknown person and started investigation. Police said that investigation was done with the help of local police in Jamshedpur and the sender of the message was arrested today. He will be brought to Mumbai. Earlier on October 21, Mumbai Police received an apology message from the same accused who had threatened Khan on October 18. The apology message said that the message was sent by mistake.

Threatening message sent on October 18

The initial threatening message was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police control room number on October 18. A few days later, Mumbai Traffic Police received another message from the same number, in which the person making the threat apologized and claimed that the message was sent by mistake. According to Mumbai Police, the location of the sender of the message was tracked from Jharkhand. It claimed itself to be close to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and claimed to kill Salman if the extortion money was not paid.

The sender claimed, ‘Don’t take this lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end his enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If he doesn’t pay the money, Salman Khan’s condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui. Worli Police had registered a case in connection with the threatening message received by Mumbai Traffic Police.
