Ranchi: Jharkhand DGP Anurag Gupta has been removed from the post. Ajay Kumar Singh will be the new DGP of Jharkhand. The Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department has issued a notification regarding this.

Anurag Gupta is a 1990 batch IPS officer. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed the Jharkhand state government to remove Anurag Gupta from the post of acting Director General of Police (DGP) with immediate effect and hand over the charge to the senior-most DGP-level officer available in the cadre.
